New Year atmosphere

Visit hometown, New Year moment,

Plenty of stuffs waiting for me.

The starfruit trees, playing with wind,

The mango trees, standing with glee.

_

My grandparents wait at the gate,

Then asking me: “Are you hungry?”

The chicken soup, how warm and sweet,

Tick-tack tick-tack, the rain’s falling.

_

The starfruit trees grow tall and strong,

All the branches, not thin and weak.

Let birds chirping and laying eggs,

Bathing inside, bucolic scent.

_

The mango trees, sleeping careless,

Make the garden it’s favorite bed.

Children climbing, won’t even care,

‘Cause my branches are good and safe.

_

The sleeping time, quiet, peaceful,

Birds stop cheering, grigs start chirping.

All surviving things, get calm and still,

Wait for a new, good day coming

_

Visit hometown, New Year moment,

Plenty of stuffs waiting for me.

The starfruit trees, playing with wind,

The mango trees, standing with glee.
