“Read the paper,” Max says, leaning forward over Sam’s shoulder.
“First clue: Bascule” Sam reads aloud.
“Bascule? What is that?”
“Who knows?”

Here’s the revised and polished version of your text with grammatical corrections and improved flow:
“Maybe it means ‘biscuit.’ Bascule may be biscuit’s homophone,” Max says.
“That sounds possible. But where can we find a ‘biscuit’?” Sam asks.
“Kitchen? Bakery?”
“Yes, that’s it! A bakery! Let’s go!” Dean jumps up.
“But where? Seamyrize Street doesn’t have any bakeries,” Max says.
“But Whirlessy Street does. It’s my house, man!” Dean says.
A few moments later, the three boys rush out on their bikes, speeding along Seamyrize Street toward Whirlessy Street.

They stop at Dean’s house, and his mom greets them happily. The boys try to find any clues in the bakery but fail.
“So we’re not at the right place?” Sam asks, disappointed.
“Does anyone have any ideas?” Max asks.
“No…” Sam shakes his head.
“This sounds like a foreign language… I’m not sure… Bascule… Bascule,” Dean whispers.
“Wait, foreign language? I’ve got it!” Sam shouts.
“What?”
“Bascule is French! It means ‘seesaw’ in English!” Sam explains.
“Seesaw?” Max says.
The boys look at each other—they all have the same idea: the playground! Once again, the neighborhood sees three boys rushing down the street. They arrive at the play area, and a seesaw catches their eyes. However, they cannot find anything there. Disappointed, they cycle back to their houses.
As Max looks around, something catches his eye: a balance scale in Mr. Smith’s house.
“Look at that!”
“What?” Sam says, turning to Max.
“Look at the balance scale in Mr. Smith’s house.”
“So… what?” Dean asks, confused.
“Come on! It looks just like the seesaw from the clue!” Max explains. “And look at the blue text under the balance scale. The words on the paper were also blue!”
“That seems possible! Let’s go closer.”
Under the picture of the scale, there are some words: “Equality for everyone.”
